The Estero community is a unique blend of old and new, and rich
in history. A visit to our state park, the Koreshan State Historic
Site, is a fascinating and educational look into the lives of the
first pioneers and settlers to the southwest Florida area. The beauty
of the Estero River is treasured and enjoyed by canoeists and boaters,
from all over the world, who can explore one of the last remaining
unspoiled and pristine outstanding Florida water ways. A short boat
ride along this enchanting river will flow into the beautiful Estero
Bay where you will discover the Mound Key State Archaeological Site,
the kingdom of the Calusa Indians.
Estero is one of the fastest growing communities in Lee County, where
you can raise your children from kindergarten through university,

school have received a five star rating. Estero is also the proud
host to the newest and largest high-tech county library, the South
County Regional Library.
Estero is also the location of a new ice hockey arena and the home
of the Florida Everglades. This facility will also host a wide variety
of concerts that will bring to our area many cultural and entertaining
events.
There are opportunities to exercise your faith through our many churches,
synagogues, charitable and service organizations. Health and welfare
agencies provide inter faith ministerial and care giver services to
the area. The Senior Friendship Center is sponsoring a Senior Care
Facility to service the medical needs of the community.
